I take this with me in case the weather chages, easy to carry.

            Orange color provides visability.

Good for light rain or unexpected weather changes.

Does not replace a rain jacket, also shows wrinkles.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Verto Jacket, Closeout:

I have quite a few down under and outer wear clothing. And to keep them dry in stormy weather,TNF Verto hooded jacket keeps light rain and/or snow off.Zippered side hand openings would be nice but no pocket wouldn't make much sense.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Verto Jacket, Closeout:

I have this fetish for down undergarments that are not waterproof.Although they are warm, they get wet if not for an outer-garment like this TNF Verto jacket. It's light as a feather, has an attached hood of the same color which is transparent. They're reality inexpensive for what you get and the protection from the elements. My only gripe is not enough colors!

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Verto Jacket, Closeout:

I picked this up last fall at my local EMS after eyeing them for a while. I wanted an emergency layer for trail running and this fit the bill as it's extremely lightweight and compact. I tried it on in the store and then when I got home I stuck it in my hydration pack where it stayed unused.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I was out on a run in 60 degree temps and it started to rain. My first thought was about how glad I was that I snagged the Verto last season. I pulled it out of my pack and put it on only to get a big surprise. I, like the majority of runners, wear a GPS running watch. For me, this is an Ambit (which I LOVE!). Well, when I looked down to pull the cuff of the jacket over my watch what did I find? The "Next" button had ripped a hole in the sleeve! REALLY?!?! This is a Summit Series jacket designed primarily for rock climbing. How is this jacket supposed to survive its primary purpose if it rips from a running watch? Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in this jacket, especially considering the price tag.
