THE VERY DAY I GOT THIS JACKET I WAS OUT IN A RAINY, WINDY ENVIRONMENT KAYAK FISHING. IT WAS TOTALLY WATERPROOF, BLOCKED THE WIND AND ALLOWED FREE MOVEMENT FOR PADDLING AND CASTING. I'D ADD A CHEST HIGH POCKET IF I WERE THE DESIGNER. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT WILL DEFINITELY COME IN HANDY IN THE TOWER DURING FOOTBALL SEASON.

This is a great jacket, well made with good arm room for unrestricted movement. It worked well over layers on a windy New England winter day. The red two tone color is great for visibility and is stylish too! I bought this for an upcoming trip to New Zealand where I will be outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Unsure how comfortable it will be with short sleeves if working hard-may stick to the skin with no liner. Over all so far I am very pleased with the purchase. FYI I am a woman who bought the men's jacket as I wanted a longer fit. I ordered one size smaller than I would have in women's sizes and the fit is fine.

Wonderful jacket for rainstorms... if in warm climates (sub to tropical you might get too warm. Otherwise it's a wonderful jacket, you can always depend on Marmot for tech quality.

I pruchased this larger than my size to use over my flotation vest while kayaking. I like the arm pit zippers to control body heat. I am in the process of having the front zipper replaced with a double zipper from a locial seamstress.

As with most breathable fabrics that I have experienced they "rustle" as you walk. Although this product was better than most. When my body is working hard the fabric can't disperse my sweat and it builds up inside even with the pit vents open. The jacket is comfortable and the colors are vibrant.
