i like the style and the fit. i have a hard time buying pants online because of my tree trunk legs. these pants fit perfectly and i assume that they will hold up to some punishment. the stitching seems legit and hasn't stretched, even after a few washes. they breathe well but keep the cold wind from your legs, paired with a pair of long johns, these are an excelllent choice for the trail or out to dinner.
the only qualm i have with them is that the cuffs are not very wide. not that it's a very big deal but the pants bunch up at the bottom and look like i'm trying to be a hipster. not a huge deal to me but maybe to some people it would be.

They are cut with darts and the material gives a little so the pants are very comfortable, lightweight, but durable. They dry quickly also. I wear a 38 waist / 30 length Levi or Lee jeans and these Kuhls 38-30s fit perfect. The length seems a tad short but I measured them as dead on 30, not a mm more. My measured leg inseam is 30.5" so the next Kuhl pair I will order will be a 32" (regular) length.
The material is on the light side so they are perfect for summer hiking. I have hiked through brush with them and they perform well.
If the front pockets were 1 inch deeper, I would give them a 5. Also the Khaki color is sort of on the Army green side of the spectrum instead of the traditional pure beige khaki
