The padded liner works with other sports garments, effectively adding bike sweats, bike yoga pants, bike gym shorts, etc. using your existing clothes, without adding a lot of bulk or uncomfortable thigh ride-up. These are the most flattering bike shorts, you could wear around town or in a restaurant. Removable bike padding can be worn w/ other shorts. Quick dry. Loved mine, bought for biking mother in law. I also wear as regular shorts. Nice zippered back pocket for phone on a ride. Fabulous!
