Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Power Stretch Gloves:

I purchased these to use on the few days & nights that it gets cold down here in Florida. I'm out boating on the water at night and I needed something to cut down the bite from the wind and during boating.

I haven't found any flaws with the gloves as of now. I've purchased gloves in the past from EMS and continue to come back to them. As long as they continue to make great products I'll continue to shop with them.

I don't use these gloves for heavy-duty work but for light to medium duty I see them holding up well. Heavy duty work would be another story that I'm not certain to how well they would last.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Power Stretch Gloves:

These were purchased as replacement liners for a pair of Altitude gloves I have used for skiing for three years. They appear to be the same as the original liners. The current liners have gotten a little thin and flat, not bad after more than two thousand k's. I use the Altitudes as my prime nordic glove because they function well and are extremely compressible, making them one of the few heavy gloves I can fit into racing straps. A lot of this has to do with the liner. Occasionally I use the power stretch gloves alone, but the palms aren't very grippy, so I usually wear a thin leather palmed fleece glove in milder weather.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Power Stretch Gloves:

I took these gloves with me a few weeks ago to do 19 miles of the presidential range in the White Mtns in 1 day. It was in the low 50's, but the winds up on the ridges were pounding us (consistantly 60-70 mph). These gloves kept my hands warm (while hiking, keep that in mind) in what would equate to 35 (give or take) degree temperatures. Great glove for hiking.
Easy to store in the pockets while hiking without any problems.
Good fit, and well designed warm fleece cuffs that keep the wind out. The seams did not start to pull apart after a lot of casual wear and useage.
The only thing is, the gloves show a light bit of abrasion to the palm and fingers due to me grabbing onto rocks for stability when needed. So, I wouldn't consider this a glove to handle any sort of heavy abrasion, because it looks like the material would rip. But I do not believe that was there designed purpose anyways (more for a lightweight hiking glove).
Overall, worth the money for a nice, light, wind-resistant, warm HIKING glove (you will be colder in them if you're not vigorisley exercizing).
