Comments about GREGORY Savant 38 Backpack:

I was looking for an overnight/winter hiking bag. I prefer muted colors so I bought the pack in Thundercloud Black. In terms of performance, this pack is great in all respects. I could easily carry all the gear for an overnight or long day of hiking in the winter. It was confortable and stable. But, the Thundercloud Black was visually revolting. It's not really black so much as a black/brown color with gray/purple trim. If you don't care how your pack looks, I highly recommend. If you do, go with the red.
