Comments about OSPREY Atmos 65 Backpack:
I use backpack for training trips atleats twice a week to train for a week long backpacking trek in California. I usually carry about 25lbs for training two and 1/2 hours in the evenings. The mesh back support does keep your back cool but the arch in the fram causes the load to pull away from your back causing more pulling on your shoulder sraps to try and keep the weight on your back. Don't get the 65 liter because if you are packing that much stuff it will be too heavy for the pack causing it to become uncomfy at a 25lbs limit. I love the large pockets on the hip belt and the pockets on the outside back part of the pack keeps me organized. It is also a very light weight and breathable pack.
I have seen other people with frameless packs that they can't say enough things about. And I tried one one with weight. The frmeless pack option is better because the pack conforms to your back puting more weight on your back and removing weight from your hips and shoulder. If you can keep your pack weight below 25lbs which you have to do for the pack to be comfy the frameless packs are a way betterr option. I did buy this pack for my self.
Bottom line I would not buy this pack again although the pockets and breatheablity is nice.

Comments about OSPREY Atmos 65 Backpack:
Just bought the Atmos 65 for multi day backpacking. The fit is great and I really liked the mesh back panel. Carried about 45 pounds for 3 days and would say that is close to the upper end of this pack's range in terms of comfort. Pack is super light and lots of room. The only negative was that one of the zippers to the side pocket failed one hour into the first hike. I am hopeful it was just a fluke as I have several friends with this pack who have had no issues. I will be stopping back to the store to swap it out.

Comments about OSPREY Atmos 65 Backpack:
The pack is great. I've been using it for weekend getaways and it has more than enough room. I highly recommend this pack for people who travel, hike, or backpack for moderate length trips. I plan on using it for a 2 week backpacking trip in Europe during the summer. Great suspension system in this pack that really makes it comfortable. The only con I can think of is that you can't access the pack from the front. Many people see this as a pro however.

Comments about OSPREY Atmos 65 Backpack:
At just over 3 lbs in the large frame (I am 6'2" with semi-long torso) this pack is pretty light for a 65 liter. The description says it's weight capacity is 30-50 lbs and I would agree that is very accurate. I tend to carry on the heavier side of that range and I would say, because the shoulder straps don't have a ton of cushion, that if you can't bear a hot spot here or there def don't carry on the heavy end of that range. All in all it's a great pack though and use it as my main weekend pack or multi-day pack. To get a long trip out of it you better have the rest of your gear dialed in though.
