Brooks worked with Scott Jurek to develop the Pure Grit, a lightweight trail runner with a concave one-piece outsole—when forces are applied, the outsole splays out to enhance balance and traction.
The Brooks PureProject collection introduces a new running experience by promoting a more natural ride in an incredibly lightweight and flexible shoe—feel more with less.Features/Benefits:
- Concave one-piece outsole splays out on impact to enhance balance and traction
- Sleek grip lug pattern and wide base protect the feet and still allow the runner to get in touch with the ground
- BioMoGo DNA midsole provides gender-friendly responsive cushioning for custom comfort; 15 mm heel, 11 mm forefoot for a 4 mm offset
- DNA tunes the cushioning and responsiveness to the specific needs of each runner—disperses impact and provides ideal comfort and protection as the pace changes
- Inverted, curved IDEAL heel sets up foot strike—shifts contact points forward so your body is directly over your feet, aligning your stride naturally for optimal spring with every step
- Toe Flex: split toe box at front outsole allows the big toe to function independently and engage the runner’s natural balance; flexible materials empower a more efficient push off during the propulsion phase
- Flexible Nav Band wraps comfortably over the instep to secure the foot—the dynamic stretch provides just the right amount of support and accommodates different foot shapes with a comfortable arch fit
- Anatomical last mimics the shape of the foot to provide close support and a glove-like feel—allows shoe and foot to work as a single unit

I love using the puregrip shoe on very steep and rocky trail runs . They also perform very well in creek crossings and i never slip in them, a big plus in racing. Thanks brook for another excellent running product
