Comments about BROOKS Women's Adrenaline ASR GTX Trail Running Shoes:
These are the best mountain hiking shoes ! I was looking for a hiking shoe that felt like a sneaker. This was perfect for me. It is a running shoe, that works well for mountain hiking. The Gore-Tex was also a must for me. It was worth every penny. There isn't a hiking trip that I've gone on I haven't been thankful I was stubborn about buying the Gore-Tex.

Comments about BROOKS Women's Adrenaline ASR GTX Trail Running Shoes:
I walk a lot every day, so I'm not a gym rat, but more than casual. I wanted a low, waterproof sneaker (they'll always be sneakers to me)because this year, where I walk, it has been wet with extra water more days than not. This is a perfect solution for all the times when hiking boots are way too much.I have super narrow heels w/a fairly wide forefront. These are my 1st Brooks. My heels stay in - with fairly tight ties - and there is enough width, but no extra, in the front. Lengthwise these were good in my dress shoe size - going longer would have made them sloppy. I have sort of average arches, neutral, bony feet: these seem to have lowish arches, and not a lot of padding, but enough. I would prefer a tiny bit more width towards the toe end. They do the trick for wet walks 2- 3 miles long.

Comments about BROOKS Women's Adrenaline ASR GTX Trail Running Shoes:
I have wanted a water proof low hiking or walking shoe, because it has been so wet so much of the time this year (Westchester NY)- and tho I have Goretex boots, they are are way too warm and just too much for everyday walks on paved trail and through woods. I wear a size 10 dress shoe, and have very narrow heels but a fairly broad but low volume forefoot - although I like room for toes. This fits well with thin to medium socks in a 10 - which is also marked euro 42 but it is a small 42. Note I tried on a size 9.5 in the newer model in an EMS store - the 9.5's did fit, but too snugly on my larger foot to allow for any movement { and there weren't any 10's to try], so just order your usual US size in either model and you should be OK.
They arrived in a day and a half, and I have worm them for a couple of long walks already. They are cushioned but not overly cushioned and provide good support. I would prefer even narrower heels, but a)they are nowhere to be found with enough width across the ball of the foot, and b) it's easy to lace these to keep my heels in place. I think they will get a lot of use.Looks? Well, I would prefer no turquoise doodads and heel inserts on my too-large-to-be-cute feet, but -- at least they're black! I think they would work for a lot of women who spend time outdoors.

Comments about BROOKS Women's Adrenaline ASR GTX Trail Running Shoes:
I bought the shoe because it has a narrow heel and narrow heeled shoes are not easy to find. The Brooks fit well and are a 1/2 size larger than my other trail runners. So for me, I would say the shoe runs a little small. For the last few weeks,I have been wearing them for walks and trail runs on wet trails in the White Mountains, and they have kept my feet dry and comfortable. They have been an excellent shoe for cool, wet weather; but I think too hot for summer wear. The traction on wet rocks has been very good. I wear orthotics and therefore cannot accurately report on the arch support or cushioning. I haven't owned the shoes long enough to comment on their durability.
