Comments about THERM-A-REST NeoAir XTherm Sleeping Pad, Regular:

Just came off two weeks on the trail. The X-therm kept me toasty warm at night, even when the pad was a tad damp. When fully inflated (about 30 blows) it was quite comfortable. With minimal effort, this pad rolls up smaller than a liter water bottle so doesn't take up much room in a pack.

I purchased a regular length, the women's length not being available. At 5'5", I found the pad too long, as expected. If I could suggest a single improvement, it would be to add higher side channels as are found in some pads. Those channels help stop rolling off the pad.

Comments about THERM-A-REST NeoAir XTherm Sleeping Pad, Regular:

This sleeping pad is the best of both worlds. It's thick, warm, and comfortable while at the same time small and lightweight. I was able to sleep on my side without my hips or shoulders touching the ground through the pad. This is an expensive pad, but if you want a warm lightweight sleeping pad, this is the best pad that you can get.

Comments about THERM-A-REST NeoAir XTherm Sleeping Pad, Regular:

Picked this up before my yearly winter backpacking trip in the Whites. Pad performed great. Though the temperature never dropped below 12F, the pad was warm and cozy. We've camped in conditions down to about -20 and I would feel comfortable bringing only this pad in those conditions. Plus, I tend to be a side-sleeper and my hips never got sore, as used to happen sometimes with the old, thinner, Therm-a-rest.

It packs down to almost nothing. (Which, again, is a huge improvement compared to my previous system of bringing a Therm-a-rest and a closed cell foam pad.) I couldn't believe how much extra space I had in my bag.

Inflating the pad using the included bag is a bit of a pain. It took me about 5 minutes or so, but in my opinion is well worth the trade-off of less weight, less bulk, at least equal warmth, and more comfort.

I would definitely recommend this for winter camping.

Comments about THERM-A-REST NeoAir XTherm Sleeping Pad, Regular:

Took it backpacking only once so haven't had 4 season experience yet. It was relatively easy to inflate, but did take about 5 mins with the included pump sack. Had to blow the last few breaths to get it fully inflated. Turned out its easy to slip off when its that rigid.

All the other reviews are on the mark with warmth and weight. I am a side sleeper and at times was uncomfortable sleeping on the side on this pad, although I couldn't feel the ground. Its also noisy when you are turning around. Packability is good, its difficult, nay impossible, to get it down to the original packed size once you use it, but still pretty compact.

Looking forward to trying it out in other seasons.
