Darn light, but not really absorbant. Perfectly fine for wiping a face, drying hands, etc. Don't think about taking it swiming!

This towel is clipped on my backpack so that I can wipe the sweat from my face. In the summer it can be doused with water to become a cool cloth that provides relief from the heat.
