I bought these to wear for fencing, which requires a shoe quite different from the normal running shoe. These shoes provide a unique and wonderful "feel" of the fencing strip, as well as the heel cushioning needed. I am hopeful that the shoe will hold up to the demands of the sport.

These shoes are great and I can't say enough about how comfortable I find them to wear. The only con is that I will have to return them and get another pair due to the toe cap splitting away from the toe end of the shoe. Hopefully this is not a common problem because I wouldn't get any other minimalist shoe. I wear them hiking and the only uncomfortable part is when I am going over scree and the shoe does not protect against the sometimes sharp edges of the stones. But that is not a fault of the shoe and it is the only bad part.
