Comments about KONA Unit Mountain Bike:
i was at first hesitant about a single speed and frankly didn't see the point...until i broke the derailleur on my brand new big kahuna on its third ride. simplicity is king here. first off, the bike looks amazing..the matte orange is sick and the bike just has a major coolness about it. although you would think a single speed would be tough to ride, it's not. the bike is very light and wicked fast. it handles great and on flat surfaces, it rolls very nice. even going up and down hills is not an issue and if anything, you get an even better work out on a bike like this. i changed the grips and will be replacing the pedals but they are a matter of taste, as is the saddle. my only gripe are the brakes...i've had cantilevers stop quicker than these things. if you upgrade the brakes and possibly put a squishy fork on (although kinda ruins the mystique of the single speed) you have got yourself one bad*ss ride here. totally recommend
