This wasn't for me but I'man experienced hiker. This was perfect for getting a new hiker into day hikes. The 3 liters are key for being versatile for short or long hikes, and there's lots of storage with pockets to better divide things up. It's a great value for a 3 liter, and I actually like it better than mine, which is a couple of years old.
