I purchased the Thule rack system for my new car. I had a previous Thule rack system for over 20 years! They are extremely well made, reliable, quiet, and can be used for many things. I feel very secure carrying my kayak with this system.

The bars are quiet at speeds up to 55 mph. Even at 70 mph they are fairly quiet. Even my side mirrors make noise at that speed. The built in tape measure makes install a snap. I just wish Thule had caught the fact they dented one of the bars before putting it in the box, then I would not have had to have it switched out.
