Comments about ZAMBERLAN Men's Lagorai NW GT Backpacking Boots:
Slightly heavy hikers that are of the highest quality possible. Excellent leather. Laces are long, but lock in the boot nicely. Only minor complaint is that mud does not wipe off easily from the mid-sole. It seems like a "foam-type" cushioning material that hangs onto dirt. I bought both these boots and the Zamberlan Trekker boots. The toe box on the Lagorai's actually fit my slightly narrow foot much better.
Everyone always has a comment on them....love them. Still breaking them in, but progressing nicely.

Comments about ZAMBERLAN Men's Lagorai NW GT Backpacking Boots:
These boots are great! It's taken a while to break them in but I can tell they are going to be great. I live in NH with the rugged and rocky white mountains. These boots are going to be great for it. They are warm in the winter and work great with my crampons and snow shoe. They just feel so comfortable!

Comments about ZAMBERLAN Men's Lagorai NW GT Backpacking Boots:
I'm glad I got these on sale! I decided to keep the second pair after returning the first for being too big. They really do run a half size too big, as other reviewers had mentioned. It's true! Otherwise, the craftsmanship that went into these is great. They look great, but feel very rigid compared to the last 2 pairs of Asolo's I've had.
(Asolo's feel like a dream on your foot, right out of the box, but the soles didn't hold up.- Delaminating and treadwear.) These may require alot of miles to break in. Also I'm getting a little bit of heel lift in one boot, hoping that will go away upon breaking them in. If they break in well, I have no doubt that they will last a lifetime of hiking and hunting. Sole construction makes these very resole-able.

Comments about ZAMBERLAN Men's Lagorai NW GT Backpacking Boots:
I wear these boots in the White Mountains of NH, Mt. Katahdin in ME, and in Acadia NP.
They broke in fast with no noticeable irritation or hot spots.
They look heavy, but not...relative to their use and construction...I have tried heavier boots!
The boots are scuff resistant, and fit the foot really well, with a snug and even fit. The boot tightens around the foot with little difficulty.
I have seen Zamberlan boots that were 10 years old and going strong...with proper care, of course. Wearing them now, I can see why!

Comments about ZAMBERLAN Men's Lagorai NW GT Backpacking Boots:
My favorite boots! I use them year round in the White Mountains and for summer backpacking trips out West. Despite their hefty, vintage appearance they are lighter than they look and preform in a variety of conditions. They continue to be the most comfortable (and fashionable) boot I have ever had the pleasure of hiking in. I normally take a mens 10.5 and found it a half size to large and settled on the size 10 which had ample room. Expect some break in time, at least two weeks or more. I have a wide, high volume foot and the boot molded wonderfully. These are very rugged, beautifully hand crafted boots that I will own a very long time.
