was looking for something to attach my underquilt to my hammock with, i had used the plastic version of these and they started to bend on me after a few camping trips so i changed to the metal ones, although 1.5g heavier that the plastic version they are working much better
i think they would be strong enough to use for some tarp rigging too, but have not tried that
