      These convertible mittens are just what I wanted in looks, length, and versatility. Unfortunately, they fell apart at the seams within four days of minimal use. The wool is very sub-standard and balled up on first use; the knit is also very loose and does nothing to combat wind.

      Even more appallingly, one of the convertible tops came apart at the seam on the second day of use. I restitched, but the other top came apart on the third day of use. On the fourth and final day, the side seams came undone and I gave up. I will be returning them to my local EMS this weekend, and expect a full refund. It's a shame, because the design is terrific; however, the materials are a disgrace to EMS's standards.
