Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Altitude 3-in-1 Gloves:

These gloves seemed like a great idea, but in the end I had to return them. I liked everything about them except the outer shell was too big. There was 1" of excess glove in the fingertips. The inner glove fit well.

Love the two glove system. Take off the outer layer and the inner layer still keeps you warm. Great for skiing

Generally nice but with one major flaw

        Best Uses

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Altitude 3-in-1 Gloves:

I wish I could like these gloves - they are comfortable, warm, and easy to work with. Their major flaw is that if you are not careful the inside section (not the removable liner - I usually don't use those) can stick to your hand when you pull it out and get reversed, after that you need to futz with it for 5-10 min to get all the fingers straightened out again and the glove fully usable. When you are taking your hands out a lot (like I do for photography) and working on trail in cold, windy backcountry conditions this is a deal-breaker.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Altitude 3-in-1 Gloves:

I've found this glove to be very useful and practical for alpine, backcountry and cross country skiing. I especially appreciate the versatility of having a removeable liner and an insulated outer, so I can adjust for conditions as needed. If I'm slogging uphill, I can wear just the liners, or just the outer gloves, and combine the two for the run back down. The liners and outers can be separated at the end of the day so they'll dry out quickly.
I'd like to see a more durable outer fabric on the palms and thumbs for handling pole straps, rope, etc.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Altitude 3-in-1 Gloves:

I bought a pair of these 4 or 5 years ago and there is not enough room to say everything that I love about these gloves. I bought another pair this year to replace the ones that were bought so long ago. These gloves are nothing short of fantastic. They stand up to the abuse that has been thrown at them for a long time. The gloves are warm even without the lining gloves inside. There is no need to spend insane amounts of $$$$ for other brand name gloves. These are the gloves you've been looking for.

The older version of this product was better. The liners are not velcro'd the shell. It is hard to keep the two parts together.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Altitude 3-in-1 Gloves:

Used these on the Summit of MT Washington. Works Great, when it gets warm just use the liner or shell. Great grip I felt but the only problem I found is when putting the liner back in. Just make sure the fingers in the shell(lining)are not caught up.

Used these for a trip to Mt Washington. Liners got wet with snow and got cold and wouldn't get warm. Stripped to just shells and was warm enough. Waterproof and warm. The touchscreen patches are annoying and you can definitely feel them unless your fingers are numb!
