Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Mountain Insulated Pants:
A good technical pant but---below the knee they balloon out to a huge bellbottom! Without gaiters you cannot wear these pants. I can't understand why the heck you would design them this way. You have a short side zip for easy removal--so why the bell bottom? Who takes off their insulated pants and leaves their boots on? I can't think of a situation--except maybe diareeah--where you would do that--so why the bellbottom? I went trekking in Nepal last winter with these and had to wear gaiters below 15,000ft.. (where there is no snow) because of the ridiculously huge bellbottom. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Other than that they are exactly what you would want for cold weather winter stuff. Don't forget your gaiters.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's Mountain Insulated Pants:
These pants served me well for the 2nd half of the ski season, easily making the trip to upstate NY and around Central PA for numerous ski trips. They kept me dry and warm and had plenty of pockets to store gear.
I originally looked at purchasing a similar pair from North Face brand, but am happier with the EMS brand due to the lower price point and greater number of features. EMS branded items never cease to amaze and impress me!
