Love this coat so far! Haven't gotten to use it for skiing yet since we have no snow, but seems like it's going to work well, especially with the snow skirt! Very warm coat that keeps all the drafts out. The other good thing about this coat is that EMS finally made both the sleeves AND the torso long enough to fit my 5'9" frame! I got the medium and it fit perfectly and usually I have to go a size bigger just so that the sleeves are long enough for me! Only downfall is that it is a little stiff at first, but I'm hoping that it will start to give a bit with more use like my other EMS jacket did. Great coat 3-in-1 coat for the money!

I wore this coat for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and strolling through town in bitterly cold weather. It is very warm, comfortable, and doesn't fit or look overly bulky. Its weight is perfect -- adds to the warm-feeling. It needs more pockets -- an extra exterior and one or two extra interior for tissues, an mp3 player, thawed chapstick, etc.

Great jacket that is easily adjusted to one of its three options. The shell is a bit stiff but than again should resist thorns and snags on trails. Lining/jacket is soft and conforms nicely to body. Not the most fashionable design but good enough for cold winter hikes. It is very well made and love the zip off hood. Opted for this over the EMS 3 in 1 Edge because of the removable hood, longer length and nicer inside jacket/liner.

This jacket was just what I wanted for an upcoming trip to Alaska, offering waterproof versatility for various temperatures and conditions. But while the fit was fine elsewhere, it was just too snug across the hips so I had to return it.

I got this jacket because it seemed like it would be okay for hiking (I can't afford gore-tex so was hoping for a breathable jacket that is waterproof). I haven't checked out how waterproof it is, but has served as good protection in snowstorms and windy White Mountain hikes. It is fairly heavy and stiff. A trivial thing that bothered me is the color--it looked like an orange-red color in the photo(the color was listed as volcano) but is instead a generic red jacket. I like how you can take the liner out. The two together seem fairly warm, but, while hiking last weekend in 12 degree temps it did not keep me warm when we stopped.

Fit is great, the sleeves are perfect... usually they are too short and ride up while doing activities! Or if they are long enough then the midsection is too big They got it just right here.
The only thing I would change is to make a more sturdy hangar... I'm afraid the little loop will rip out while hanging it at work.

I tried this jacket at the store for size and bought it online in the color I wanted (red). Its a great fit and very warm. The zipper was a little sticky at first, but has worked out since. Its a few weeks old now for me, but is still a little stiff. Hopefully it will loosen up in a few weeks.

Comfortable to ski in and to shovel snow. Inner layer is very comfortable inside the shell and as a separate jacket. Very warm!

This jacket is excellent and exactly what I needed for a multi-purpose trip to Iceland. It is waterproof, warm, light-weight enough to keep carrying it from being a hastle, zips well, has a good-sized hood (could be a tiny bit bigger, but i love a deep hood), good velcro closures at the wrists, just an overall nice design. It's flexible for hiking (wind and water resistant), riding (bi-directional zipper helps with finding a comfortable seat) and i couldn't be happier. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is that it could would only be as good as it gets if it were more flexible, which I guess isn't fair since these types of jackets rarely are.

The jacket was too heavy for my liking. I would not be able to use it for backcountry skiing. It did not seem breathable for moderate exertion. Might be okay for downhill skiing if you like to wear a heavy coat.
