Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Wind Pro Touchscreen Gloves:

I purchased these for running and I'm glad I did. My previous pair is great when it's not windy, these are absolutely great for the bitter cold. First wear it was 17F, windchill of -3F and I'm happy to report they kept my hands warm. The touch screen tips are nice, but they're a little bulky for typing. I have long skinny fingers, so the medium was a little wide, but also a little short for me. I would say overall true to size though. I do wish the wrist had some better or tighter elastic, they might fit more snug. After some time the stitching in the inside gets a little uncomfortable, especially if your hands are too warm and a little sweaty (they don't breath very well). Really these are good for when you are active in cold COLD weather, I wouldn't recommend them for if you are active over freezing. Good for everyday use after that.

I bought these primarily for walking my dog Cooper. They work great and with the touchscreen technology I can actually use them at work too, using a scanning device on the dock at FedEx.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Wind Pro Touchscreen Gloves:

This is the 3rd pair I've purchased in the last few years. I love them for their ease of taking on and off-they have plenty of stretch. They are comfortable, soft and warm. I work outdoors as a land surveyor and find them handy on the job. They are warm for spring and fall. They're good for winter too if you are moving. But, they're not going to keep you warm if you're standing still in 20 degree weather w/a wind, but, then, what does?
They are super for cross country skiing!
The "touch" for the phone doesn't work great. And, they tend to develop holes on the middle finger and thumb if you are working w/rough materials (think brushing away dirt, carrying firewood, etc). They're pricey, so, I only buy them on sale. These are my "go to" gloves in most work situations.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Wind Pro Touchscreen Gloves:

I bought size small and they fit me very well, except the fingers could be a teeny bit longer. I'm 5'7" tall and thin but the small was perfect for me. I love the cozy and snug cuffs. They work well as driving gloves or just walking around the city. I don't care about the touch ability, and good thing since they don't work on my phone screen at all. But they have changed my winter - my fingers are finally warm.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Wind Pro Touchscreen Gloves:

I posted before that these were great.
I've had them for 1 months now and the e-tips no longer function. I've worn them an average of 4 days a week, just to and from the bus, no heavy use. I didn't try to build snowmen, shovel, etc. I just put them on my hands, walk a mile or two, might have hands in my pockets, take them off.
There was one day were we got lots of wet heavy snow and I waited outside in it with an umbrella and used my phone with these gloves and it wasn't a problem. They did get a little damp though. So I'm not sure if once they get wet at all the tips completely cease to work or what. The fabric isn't holding up great. I still wear them but was surely disappointed that such expensive simple gloves would have problems after such light use.

                  • Thin But Warm Layer

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's Wind Pro Touchscreen Gloves:

Was super excited to see nightshade come back in stock. That rich super deep purpley color was beautiful- on the screen only. In person it's a very light pale greyish dusty purple not a thing like the color pictured, which was very disappointing.
It was very very thin for a fleece- floppy, single thin layer with exposed seams, not very soft and did not hold a shape- more like a fleece shirt than anything.
the seams, especially the one around the neck and towards the wrists are a little scratchy which is unfortunate given the care and attention to detail to keep the zipper from rubbing.
the zipper is very small, delicate and hide away which is nice.
the sleeves are very long, which is great but with the length, the fabric change and the seaming, they'd be better with thumb holes.
It has a nice warmth to it overall despite it's very thin flimsy fabric.
The seams across the top of the chest are asymmetric making it look a little odd. That was a surprise. I guess I should have looked a little closer at the pictures.
I expected this to be a little more fleece like- a little thicker fabric, a bit softer and something that would hold its shape. I don't generally see a fleece that can get wrinkly or wear like a shirt. I don't think this is actually bad quality, its just nothing like what I'd expected.
I didn't end up liking the fabric change at the bottom of the sleeves. IT's just not a comfortable fabric and the added scratching from the extra seams took away from the otherwise cozy feel.
It doesn't look all that nice due to the cut, the flimsy fabric and the drab color.
If you are looking for a shirt weight fleece that you can bunch up easily, this would be ideal for you. Or if you need a nicely warming layer that is thin but roomy, you'd really like this.
For me, I'd probably keep it if the color was better and if it didn't scratch. But it's going back, once I can get a label printed.
If you want bulkier super incredibly soft and warm go for the ems hyland fleece. If they had something between these two- something structured, fitted and soft, I'd be all over that.

These are OK gloves, but if I weren't so lazy I would return them. The dye runs and turns my hands blue and the whole reason I bought them was for the 'e-tip' technology which doesn't work, so I have to take them off to use my phone anyway.

I have had these gloves before and have loved them. I do not have a smart phone and so not need then smart phone index finger. I also find the tip of the index finger tight and uncomfortable. My index fingers stay colder now when outside than in the old style. The construction of the index fingers needs to be revisited. Maybe you should offer both styles. One with and one without the smart phone index finger. Probably would not buy again because of the feature.
