Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Trail Trekking Poles:
Needed to replace my old walking stick with some 'real' trekking poles.. I use one of these to hike with and stow the other on my pack for when I'm really tired... These are sturdy, the locks don't slip, make no noise except the tip clicking, and judging by the pairs my family and friends have had, should last many years.
The only time I've seen Black Diamond poles break is when a friend caught on between two rocks and fell on it...

Comments about BLACK DIAMOND Trail Trekking Poles:
I upgraded my poles to this current model, and it was well worth it. The grip is nice, the weight is low, and they collapse more than others. I wasn't a fan of the ultralight poles, they just felt too weak. These however feel quite sturdy. The flicklock system is way better than any twist system, highly recommend. The snow baskets are an added plus, however you just need to be aware as sometimes they will work themselves off in deep snow. Being that Black Diamond poles are the most popular in the White Mountains, you'll quite often find a random snow basket on the trails if you ever lose one!
