Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket:
Bought this coat for two reasons. First my positive experience with TNF running gear and second for the zip-in compatibility. My intention was to eventually get a Denali fleece to zip in for added warmth.
The bad:
When I finally did get the Denali, I found the coat was poorly designed so that the zipper of the Denali was more than 1.5" longer than the coat zipper. I would not have minded if it were not so obvious and the fact that the top of the zipper on the coat collar has a flap to cover it, causing the fleece to roll over into the back of your neck.
Just seems like a horrible design for a $$$ coat and $$$ fleece. They truly looked as if they did not go together. Obviously no one at TNF ever attempted to validate the "compatibility" of the zip-in. I contact TNF customer service, (or lack thereof). My concerns were repeatedly dismissed as "We have no reports of any problems". To verify whether I received a bad coat or fleece or both, on my next visit to EMS; I checked and confirmed the issue is the design. Pretty obvious when the woman in the store was amazed no one had ever noticed.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket:
Only had it out once so far on Imbabura in Ecuador but so far I love it. Very warm and I like that it's a little more of a trim fit. The hood is very well designed, stays on your head even in high winds with or without a helmet. This will probably replace my snowboarding jacket which isn't waterproof and is too baggy for my liking.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket:
Have just had the jacket a month and I love it. Today we had a March blizzard here in Minnesota and stayed warm and dry while outside.I like all the pockets and the removable indide liner...which is a jacket by itself. This my first N.F. product and am very pleased so far.

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Men's Vortex Triclimate Jacket:
MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT EMS DOESN'T CARRY LARGER SIZES IN THEIR OWN BRAND.. SO I HAD TO BUY THE NORTH FACE JACKET...I THINK EMS HAS JUST AS GOOD A QUALITY... I'M 6'4" AND 270LBS.
