I have used this as a base layer in the 20 - 30 degree F range. The fabric is quite thin and porous. It feels a bit rough/scratchy against the skin. When sweat accumulates it feels cold against my skin, unless I am so warm that my hands are sweating a bit. I like some of my other base layers better. They also get wet, but are softer and do not feel as cold against the skin. They are also more tightly knit and a bit thicker. The only advantage that I see to the FlashDry technology in this shirt is that it may dry out a bit faster when you take it off.
