Comments about MAMMUT Neon Light Backpack:
Bought this on sale at the local EMS, because I wanted to upgrade from a different small pack that I had had for a few years. I tried it out on a couple of short walks/hikes and it was very comfortable. An SLR camera and a couple of lenses fit fine in the main compartment, although I could not fit both the camera and a hydration bladder together.
However, the gear attachment points on the outside solve that issue. I could attach a bottle holder to it and that gave me plenty of room in the main pocket for the camera, lens, as well as a spare pair of socks and a few other things. A poncho slid into the water bladder space easily (this space is segregated from the rest of the pack), and a small first aid kid fit in the second pocket. The last pocket is well sized for a map or other slim item if you need it, and there's a little mesh pocket in the main compartment that you can put your phone, wallet and keys into.
The padded back panel works well in that it isn't too heavy/thick but it's also substantial enough to provide some small support and protection from items inside the bag. The only real downside is that the zipper to access the bladder space doesn't go as far as I'd like; if it came down one side a little bit it would be easier to slide a bladder in there.
