I wanted this shoe as a hiking/water shoe. The shoe is comfortable with socks but without socks digs into the toes and breaks the skin.

I've worn these shoes every day for things suck as: daily wear, going to an amusement park (standing for long periods in lines), hiking trails and activities where I expect to get wet.
These shoes perform great. My feet never get sweaty due to the ventilation these shoes have. If I get them wet, they dry quickly too. I've hiked on trails with these and love them. Sure they're not hiking boots but they're comfortable and I feel more connected to the trail due to the lower profile and sole design. I actually preferred the previous model of this shoe because it felt even lower and more connected though. This shoe has slightl more padding under foot but I still love them. The shoe's sole is also narrower than many other shoes. By this I don't mean the shoe is narrow, but the sole doesn't flare out and take up extra space so they're easy to pack or drive in. Due to the sole being narrow and low to the ground I personally feel more connected to the surface I'm walking on and less likely to roll my ankles.
