Comments about HYDRO FLASK Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 18 oz.:
I purchased this flask so that I would have liquid water while in Alaska (where the average temperature was between -10F and 0F, but as low as -40F). To my surprise, hot beverages would stay hot/warm for several hours in these temperatures and the liquids were at least room temperature after more than 8 hours below 0F.
An added bonus is that the bottles have a wide mouth which makes them particularly easy to keep clean.

Comments about HYDRO FLASK Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 18 oz.:
I truly love these water bottles, and love the fact that they are 18/8 stainless steel (best quality out there) but I am really frustrated that it leaks. No matter how tight I turn the lid, it still comes undone in my bag. I have wet my school books twice. Now, I don't put it in my bag. EMS do you have a solution to this problem?

Comments about HYDRO FLASK Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 18 oz.:
I've only been using this bottle for about two weeks - so far only for cold water. It certainly keeps it cold! I made the mistake of thinking if I put the bottle in the fridge the water would be cold in the morning, but it's so freaking insulated that it was the same temperature as when I put the water (from the tap) in. Compared to using a glass bottle (I also use a giant 3 pint mason jar) there's definitely a different taste with the stainless steel. Not necessarily bad, just different. The only thing so far that I'm super bummed about is the lid. It slipped out of my hand one day - it fell about 3 feet to a carpeted surface - and must have landed just right to crack the lid. I will have to look into the hydro flask website for a replacement.

Comments about HYDRO FLASK Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 18 oz.:
I bring this bottle to work, the gym, and around on my daily travels. I can leave it with cold liquid and ice in my work vehicle all day in 100+ degree heat and my beverage is still cold with ice cubes after 8 hours. And with the double walled stainless steel it doesn't sweat and stays dry all day as well. Great product.

Comments about HYDRO FLASK Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 18 oz.:
It insulates really well. To test it, I filled it with ice and water and left in on the kitchen counter before I went to bed and there was still ice in it when I woke up the next morning, so I left in on the counter and there was still even a little ice left when I came home from work in the evening.
The cap did leak initially. I saw the other comments about the gasket, so looked at my gasket inside the cap with a strong light. Sure enough, my gasket was not laying flat. I used a non-sharp object to manipulate the gasket so it lays flat, and no leaks since.
