EMS Mountain Light -20° Sleeping Bag, Regular
Mountain Light sleeping bags keep you warm and dry in all four seasons with new DownTek technology, which protects the insulation from moisture in the harshest conditions.Features/Benefits:
- DownTek negates the drawbacks of susceptibility to moisture by applying a micro-thin nano polymer to the down, creating a water repellent insulation that actually floats on water
- In addition to making the down water repellant, the nano treatment also provides anti-microbial and anti-bacterial protection
- The micro-thin treatment does not affect the fill power or feel of the down
- Vertical Thermal Channels for rapid transfer and even distribution of heat over the entire length of your body
- Within each of these vertical baffles, FlowGate technology locks your insulation in place, eliminating cold spots and maximizing thermal efficiency
- This technology also reduces baffle material requirements, creating less waste and lighter weight compared to conventional baffle systems
- 800-fill European gray goose down has excellent loft, compressibility, and breathability
- Lightweight miniripstop shell fabric with DWR finish is fast drying and wind resistant with a soft hand
- 13-baffle foot-box construction for maximum thermal efficiency
- Full-length two-way zipper with antidraft tube and anti-snag piping
- European goose down retains its insulating qualities longer than synthetics for long-term performance
- Nylon taffeta lining for softness and comfort
- Hidden inner pocket secures small accessories
- Webbing loops at bottom for hanging and airing out the bag
- Compression stuff sack and mesh storage sack included (store loosely for optimal loft and durability)
- Important note: Regular bags have a right-side zipper; Long and Women’s bags have a left-side zipper

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Mountain Light -20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
Used on two nights/three days Winter Mountaineering School out of Keene Valley, NY.
As this bag was selected for "emergency bag" for our two summit attempts, it was appropriate in weight but not bulk.
Zipper gets stuck easily and is hard to manipulate when inside the bag.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Mountain Light -20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
My girlfriend and I each slept in EMS Mountain Light -20 degree bags last weekend in Vermont. The temps got down to -6 degree F, and we were both quite warm. We each slept on two sleeping pads, wore fleece tops and bottoms, and wool socks to bed. I never felt the least bit cold the entire night, and actually felt quite warm.
As in the past, I found the bag to be very comfortable. It had plenty of room, even with my boots and other items in the bag with me. I took the bag to Mt Washington, NH last winter and had a similar, positive experience. Not surprisingly, it is a bit bulky, but I look forward to many years or usage during the coldest months of the year.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Mountain Light -20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
The temp rating is not accurate. If you had this bag in -20 you would freeze. I had it out last weekend at -5, and was not warm, especially in the feet area. I had to put on extra layers and down booties to stay warm. It is light, true, but they skimped on the down to keep it that way I think.
