I was looking for a leather boot for hiking and general outdoor wear, that was comfortable to wear all day, lightweight, and not too clunky. I am overall very happy with this boot. The footbed is very comfortable and supportive, and after wearing them around the house for a few hours at a time, I can now wear them for a full day ( I spend most of my workday standing and walking). The only thing that isn't perfect is the stiff and excessive padding on the tongue and around the ankle, which all boots seem to have these days. Really, a simple leather tongue would do as well, and be far more comfortable and less bulky. The edges of the thick tongue bite into my ankle bones. I almost returned them for this reason, but so many other things were right, I 'm hoping they will soften up a bit over time.Otherwise, they fit my needs nicely.

These boots are so very comfortable! I have had them for less than a week and worn them for walking, hiking and after skiing. They are remarkably light and warm. I'm excited to see how they will work with my snowshoes this winter. They do very well in slippery winter walking, and I may not need my cat track type add ons.
I bought them in the cute green color.
