These were purchased for my 6 YO son. We've had many other wonderful Keen shoes in the family, so when he tried them on, they fit, he loved them, I sent the box to recycle and shredded the receipt and within 48 hrs one of the loops that holds the upper laces broke. Now, approx 20 days later, ( the shoe still otherwise looks like new) a whole piece of trim has come off the side.
Previous similar pair wore like iron, not sure this happens to be a lemon batch!?

I purchased these for my 7 year old who still doesn't tie and deals with some sensory issues. (Thus making our shoe choices limited.) I can't recommend any Keens ENOUGH. They are easy on/off for kids to do themselves, they last FOREVER (my kids often outgrow them and hand them down to someone else!), they are SO comfortable. I owned a pair that lasted 3 years. I finally let them go b/c my husband was complaining that they looked bad, but they still felt great. And Keen waterproof shoes, IMO, are truly waterproof, unlike many others I've encountered.
