Bought this for my husband because he was really impressed with mine. We wanted something light to replace our worn out Precips and are hoping the durability of Gore-tex will justify the higher price. The zipper problems of previous years seems to have been fixed (we delayed purchase because of this issue). Being able to roll the jacket into the hood helps keep our packs neat. Haven't worn in heavy showers yet but am confident that they will function fine.
