They fit well in my athletic shoes and have good cushioning. I especially like the padding at the top back of the ankle, which also helps to keep the sock up. They keep my feet dry and have washed and dried well. After my first purchase, I bought a few more. Mine are silver, a nice unobtrusive color.

I LOVE these socks. To be honest, I have a problem with foot sweat (even when not exercising), and my schoes often smell as a result. These socks make a huge difference! Plus, I love the support provided by the PhD magic. I've worn them in summer heat, and they aren't too hot. Personally, I prefer the ultra light, which has no cushioning, but these are nice with my barefoot sneakers.

I never imagined wool socks would keep my feet cool and comfortable! They are also the first pair of low cut socks I own that DO NOT ride down the back of my foot and under the heel as I walk. They are comfortable and stay in place!!
