I run on trails year around, in Vermont, and trail conditions are all over the place. These stay on perfectly and give you traction in any scenario that you can imagine that is realistic. Can they give you traction in 6" of fresh snow, no, but nothing can while running. These things PERFORM across the board.

I run all the time in the woods with my dog. This winter the trail has been very icy. Since I bought my yaktraks I have been able to run every time I go to the woods. I don't feel any danger of slipping at all. I can run over any kind of surface. I love them!
