Comments about THE NORTH FACE Women's Verto Micro Hoodie:
I was looking for a packable mid-layer jacket that would provide warmth without weight, and had been eagerly anticipating the verto micro down hoodie release since last summer when I read a product preview. I own the regular verto jacket (the perfect stowable rain shell!) and I was hoping for a similar product with insulation! Unfortunately, the fit is just weird. It's a little long in the front and back, which is tolerable. However, even though North Face tends to run small (I was expecting a fit similar to the animagi jacket) the cut is just incredibly strange. Arms are fitted and a good length, but there is considerable extra room in the chest area that just makes the jacket look awkward on. I assume this is due to an extra panel that is inserted under the armpit, presumably for mobility. And if you are purely looking for a climbing jacket, this may be a good option, because there is certainly mobility in the arms! I am 5'3" 116, 34-26-35, and the jacket is too big all over, but particularly in the chest. I regularly wear an Extra Small in North Face. I hope this helps!
