THE NORTH FACE Kings Canyon 2 Tent
A freestanding backpacking tent fit for a king, The North Face Kings Canyon 2 is big enough for base camp but designed for backcountry exploration. When you're in need of a lightweight castle in the clouds, this tent has you covered.Features/Benefits:
- Rainfly is made from lightweight, high-tenacity ripstop nylon with 1200 mm polyurethane coating and silicone for waterproofness
- Tent floor is made from lightweight ripstop nylon with 3000 mm polyurethane coating and silicone for waterproofness
- Tent canopy is made from super-lightweight, breathable ripstop nylon with a water-resistant finish and nylon no-see-um mesh
- Lightweight DAC aluminum poles with crossing ridge design maximize interior space and provide a dry entrance; poles are made using DAC’s Green Anodizing process, which is safer for the environment than traditional anodizing and significantly reduces waste water by recycling water throughout the rinsing process
- Hubbed poles, plastic clips, and color-coded webbing allow for quick, easy tent setup
- Two large doors allow for easy access; two vestibules provide an extra 7.5 sq. ft. of covered space to store your gear
- High-low ventilation design lets you affix the vestibule door in a partially open position to maximize airflow while maintaining good vestibule coverage
- Velcro straps, door toggles, and tent pole clips are all joined to the tent using Dryweld technology to prevent leakage and improve durability
- Fly-only pitching—poles, fly, and footprint (sold separately)—offers ideal protection in milder, bug-free weather while significantly reducing weight
- Reverse-Combi poles use larger-diameter poles at the top of the tent and smaller-diameter poles on the sides which alters the pole arc and maximizes livable space for greater comfort and headroom
- Multiple stake types ensure you stay grounded on any ground condition: J stakes with “v” cross sections for soft ground; shepherd hooks for hard, rocky ground; and snow anchors for snow or sand
