Comments about OSPREY Aether 70 Backpack:

At the first, I was thinking about Osprey Aether 70 & Gregory Baltoro 75, because the carry-on system of Osprey and Gregory are both nice!
I've borrowed the 2010 style Aether from my friend for several times, the light weight and the convenience of usage makes me impressive, only the hip belt is a bit too thin for me(maybe because the shape is for my friend.) Now,the 2013 style change the design to thick one. so, for me, there is noting could be complain.
Although the Baltoro is also attracted me, actually it's a bit more comfortable than Aether. But I still choose Aether because of the price (especially in discount), light weight and the custom molding hip belt.
I used it once for 4 days hiking already, everything goes right and I really love it.
If you really want me to something about the short comings, I think that's would be the color and built-in rain cover. I prefer the orange color in 2010 style, and the built-in rain cover only available in Europe model.

My first trip on a five day hike in Utah and felt very solid and pretty comfortable. Make sure to adjust it on the way until it fits perfect.

Comments about OSPREY Aether 70 Backpack:

Love this pack. I'm new to backpacking. Used it for an overnight camping trip in Baxter State Park. Loaded it up for a hike with 25lbs and it felt great with small adjustments. Only change i would like is the side pocket for a bottled water be easier located on the side so i could reach back and grab it right out.
