Comments about Ruff Wear RUFFWEAR Approach Dog Pack:

Took two mini-Aussies (about 40# each) on a 4 day trip. Used the "small" packs. We've used other dog packs and these were far better - much better harness, pads on the chest straps, handle if you need to lift the dog up. We hit some major rain, and one of them loves to swim, so things inside got wet. But pack appropriately for it and it's fine.

Comments about Ruff Wear RUFFWEAR Approach Dog Pack:

After browsing at other brands that make similar products. I couldn't pass up on the ruffwear dog pack. Others do not compare to this one. It is supper comfortable and holds plenty of food, water, and toys. I highly recommend this product and do not waste your time and money on look alikes.

Comments about Ruff Wear RUFFWEAR Approach Dog Pack:

I like this pack because it fit my dog nice and snug. It doesn't lean way over and hang like other packs. I can bring extra stuff and not have to carry it which comes in handy when I run. This helps give my dog a job. She gets excited when I put it on her. It is very strong and doesn't look like it will tear easy especially in thick bruch.

Comments about Ruff Wear RUFFWEAR Approach Dog Pack:

This was for our Golden Retriever for use out west in Moab, Utah. Held 2 gallon ziplocks of food, and barely fit 4L of water. Has all kind of gear loops on it, great leash mount, good hand hold. Max didn't get uncomfortable, rather he stopped his usual farting around on the trail and focused on his walking. The only con is it will prevent jumping to some extent, but that's a good thing. The Golden is 95lbs, and carried a third of his body weight without complaining.
If you want a sturdy, very, very well built dog pack, this is the holy grail! Max bumped against every stone and bush in his path, and only succeeded in pulverizing his food, then went for a swim in a creek, and the inside remained dry-a testament to a well-made zipper assembly. Reflective in low-light also. You can hook up different tethers to the loops for all different things, bells, too. Very easy to adjust for his comfort. I tried 2 different packs, and Max shredded them in a matter of moments, but not this one! WELL DONE RUFFWEAR!!!

Comments about Ruff Wear RUFFWEAR Approach Dog Pack:

Excellent packs that fit very well and held up to serious abuse. We had one of these packs on each of our 2 Shiba Inus, a breed that is extremely fast, energetic and very athletic. They ran through thick underbrush for many hours a day for 3 days during a hike, while carrying their supplies in their packs. They were completely comfortable in their packs and the packs did not seem to interfere with their movement at all

They each had a ziplock bag of dry dog food in the big pocket on each side. They beat the packs so hard that the dry dog food punctured the ziplock bags, but the packs themselves look brand new (after cleaning off all the dirt) after the trip.
