Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:

Took these out in "fall" conditions in the ADK high peaks. Moderate Icy sections. These guys did absolutely nothing. I was wearing the microspikes and my friend was wearing these. These got cought on a branch and fell off. He didn't notice they fell off until we were halfway down the mountain... That's how bad these are, you can't even tell you're wearing them. We wen't back up to get it. Don't buy these...

            Great for shoveling

Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:

I have an incredibly steep and narrow driveway, and traction for when I'm cleaning up the New England snow is really important.

I've tried Yaxtrax and micro spikes, but these are by far the best. The Yaxtrax typically last about 3 days before they fall apart, and the micro spikes are overkill for driveway use (they put holes in the asphalt!). The ice trekkers are perfect however, they've lasted me over 2 seasons now (including through 3 feet of snow in winter storm Nemo) and they're still in great shape.

I wouldn't take these hiking up a mountain or anything; for that you definitely want to use micro spikes or some other type of crampon-like traction device, but if you're looking for traction to do some snowblowing or shoveling, or even winter running, these are a really great product.

Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:

These are fine for light running, jogging in marginal conditions. Nice for urban or road environments where conditions are mixed, adds some assurance for not going down hard. And has advantage you don't really care you have them for the dry spots. But I don't recommend them for trail or real icy conditions. Stick to the kahtoola's for that.

Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:

I bought these for icy conditions in New England. They did provide traction in most circumstances, though they really didn't work reliably on truly solid ice. Had to be very careful in those conditions - they aren't crampons.

I believe I wore them less than 20 times on fairly short hikes or runs in the past two winters. I just went to put them on this morning and found that the right heel spike configuration had just fallen apart. I am a 125 pound woman who doesn't go at it all that hard...just average hikes and fairly short runs of less than 5 miles. With only a one year warranty, they are now trash.

Too bad they don't have a lifetime (or even a 5 year) warranty, since they are not likely to be worn that much over the course of one year.

I won't invest in these again.

Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:

I now own two pairs of these, one for icy sidewalks and one pair I keep in the car to use when I need them for slippery trail walking. They work great and are easy to put on (if you're sitting down) and take off.
