Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:
Took these out in "fall" conditions in the ADK high peaks. Moderate Icy sections. These guys did absolutely nothing. I was wearing the microspikes and my friend was wearing these. These got cought on a branch and fell off. He didn't notice they fell off until we were halfway down the mountain... That's how bad these are, you can't even tell you're wearing them. We wen't back up to get it. Don't buy these...
Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:
I now own two pairs of these, one for icy sidewalks and one pair I keep in the car to use when I need them for slippery trail walking. They work great and are easy to put on (if you're sitting down) and take off.
Comments about ICETREKKERS Diamond Grip Winter Traction:
I have an incredibly steep and narrow driveway, and traction for when I'm cleaning up the New England snow is really important.
I've tried Yaxtrax and micro spikes, but these are by far the best. The Yaxtrax typically last about 3 days before they fall apart, and the micro spikes are overkill for driveway use (they put holes in the asphalt!). The ice trekkers are perfect however, they've lasted me over 2 seasons now (including through 3 feet of snow in winter storm Nemo) and they're still in great shape.
I wouldn't take these hiking up a mountain or anything; for that you definitely want to use micro spikes or some other type of crampon-like traction device, but if you're looking for traction to do some snowblowing or shoveling, or even winter running, these are a really great product.

Merchant response: Thank you for your review! We agree that the Kahtoola Micro-spikes are better suited for hiking in the High Peaks, and these are an affordable option for those who don't need as much traction as the Microspikes provide! Please give us a call if you need help returning these!
