  • EMS Solstice 20° Sleeping Bag, Regular

Whether it's the longest night of the year or the shortest—or any other night, for that matter—the EMS Solstice 20° sleeping bag will keep you nice and cozy when it starts to get chilly.

    Features/Benefits:

    • Mummy-shaped to provide superior heat retention without extra bulk
    • Omniloft polyester insulation doesn’t shift or clump and provides consistent, cozy warmth
    • Lightweight polyester ripstop shell fabric provides a durable exterior; soft polyester taffeta lining feels comfy against your skin
    • Two-layer, offset quilted construction traps heat in overlapping layers for even warmth
    • Hood cinches down around your head to prevent heat from escaping
    • Right-zip; extra-long two-way zipper allows you to kick a foot or leg out when you get too hot
    • Webbing loops at the bottom provide an easy way to hang the bag and let it air out
    • Nylon stuff sack included; to preserve the bag’s loft, do not use the stuff sack for long-term storage

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Solstice 20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:

I just went backpacking in the smokies. The bag was able to fit in the sleeping bag compartment of my 40L north face pack without issue. It's sack is fleece lined which was nice and comfy stuffed with my extra clothes as a pillow. I'm usually cold natured but found myself very hot after bundling up for bed. I was plenty warm sleeping in leggings and a L/S thermal and even had to remove my socks. I used it unzipped in the 40-45 degree night. I don't have much to compare it to however as a beginner backpacker but it was perfect for the price (I did buy item on sale.) I had plenty of room with the regular and I am an average sized female at 5'5".

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Solstice 20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:

I like that the bottom of the sleeping bag is like a pocket, in that the zipper does not zip all the way down past the feet. Some people may not like that if they like sleeping with their feet out. So far, I've only used this at 50F night temp and I was very warm and didn't need to zip it all the way. The fabric is very soft and pillowy and there was plenty of room (I am female, 5'9). Packing it back up was pretty easy compared to others I have used.

I was time pressed to get a new sleeping bag and the store did not have the one I wanted in stock. They said it could be delivered in 2 days to my house for free. I was skeptical but they delivered on time and I am impressed

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Solstice 20° Sleeping Bag, Regular:

Overall it is a very good sleeping bag for the price.

It has some good features as an internal pocket, and the adjustable hood. It is also very comfortable.

There are two bad things about it. The first one is that it packs a little too large, which makes it impossible to fit in a rucksack's sleeping bag compartment. And the second thing is that I felt cold on a temperature about 32F, so I am not sure how well it would perform at 20F.
