Comments about THE NORTH FACE Women's Etip Gloves:

Purchased a second pair of the e-tip gloves as the first pair I bought is several years old and the touch sensor material had worn out. This new pair is a different design with a compound added on the thumb and first digit near the tip that acts as a conductive sensor and grip. The problem with this is that it doesn't extend to the tip, so you have to use the mid-pad of your thumb and first finger to operate your smart phone. Needless to say this is really annoying and awkward to do. The old style with the fabric insert was far superior and easier to use. I also find the gloves to be a much lighter weight, so they aren't nearly as warm as my old pair and my hands freeze. The logo is also a cheap screen application that's already falling off after a few weeks use, while my old pair was a knit logo that looks as new as the day I purchased the gloves. Can't say I'm overly happy with these gloves and am looking for an alternative.

Lovely Tech Gloves

Pros

  • Functional
  • Sleek
  • Stylish

Cons

  • Not warm

Best Uses

  • Easy to wear
  • Everyday tasks
  • Phone calls
  • Texting

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Women's Etip Gloves:

Cute and functional gloves - easy to text in, easy to make phone calls in. Not bulky like mittens, so easy to grab your keys, lock your doors, fumble in your purse, drive the car.

However, they are not warm at all in the slightest bit. They offer zero heat, my fingers are frozen if I am outside for too long. I run, and cannot wear them while running unless I have my hands bundled up into my sleeves. Might be good for 35-45 degree weather, but here in Buffalo, not so much.

I will say, they make it easy to change the songs on your ipod while you run. But if you're looking for a WARM glove, these are not them.

I would still recommend based on their functionality and main appeal - wear and still use your phone. They were obviously not made for warmth, but rather for the techno-savvy mild winter texter.

Falling apart in less than a month!

Pros

  • Smart Phone Friendly

Cons

  • Not warm
  • Poor quality

Best Uses

  • Using Phone

Comments about THE NORTH FACE Women's Etip Gloves:

I got these for Christmas as a gift (a few weeks ago!). The touch screen sensitivity is really good, which was why I wanted them. I have other brands of touch screen friendly gloves, and these are much much better.
However, the seams are already coming apart and there's a hole in one of the fingers. Also, a thread came loose on the same finger and there's a pull in the fabric. I wear them driving or while commuting to/from work, not doing anything that would put a strain on the fabric. I am incredibly disappointed that I can't even make it a month without these falling apart.
