I used this pants for hiking and traveling. It works great even when raining. It keeps you dry and comfort under the windy and wet condition. If you would like to wear it warm, I would suggest to add a pair of long underwear underneath that works very well while I camped at night. At first, I order the medium regular but it was too long then exchanged a medium short. It fits well. So be aware of the length.

Look fine; fit fine. I carry them for emergency use when commuting and traveling. As of this time, I have not tested how water proof. As for the zipper, I would have terminated zipper at the cuff, not the waist, but easy enough to adapt to end point.
