Comments about SAWYER PRODUCTS Squeeze Filter, 32 oz.:

I used this filter during a long kayaking trip in the catskills. Filling the bag from the lake was not terribly easy, and took a few tries. But once I had the filter on the water out of the spout was clean and delicious.

Comments about SAWYER PRODUCTS Squeeze Filter, 32 oz.:

I used or attempted to use this during a short trip on the Appalachian Trail. I used it on many water sources and never became ill. Even if the water was still slightly discolored it still tasted very good. The huge con is that the water must be flowing in order for the bag to fill so you need a well running creek, stream or river, which there is little of on the mountains right now. As much as I tried to fill it from a pond or a spring it would not fill. Water must flow into the bag and then you can drink out of the bag with the sanitizer on it or fill a water bottle. I'm not so sure how long the bag would last for before it would split, which is not under warrenty.
