Comments about BIG AGNES Men's Hole in the Wall DownTek Jacket:

I bought the jacket last night and the guys at the store were great! I was sold on ba, which I was told, sells great sleeping bags and uses that technology in their jackets. The jackets looks great. But bottom line is it's just not warm. I went out to walk the dog last night, and granted the temperature was in the teens and I had on only a short sleeved polo and no hat, but I was very cold! I expected this jacket to be warmer than my down-filled microfleece with no reputation for warmth at all, but that was not the case. Also, the pockets are quite flimsy. I fear that my keys will burst through the unlined pockets before long. My wife bought a similar coat at a discount store for a fraction of the cost, which is fine. But I expected more from this coat. It's possible that this entire category of jackets would disappoint me and I need to set my sights on a higher end, more substantial, warmer jacket. But customers should know what kind of jacket it is before buying. You can do much better for your money.
