Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Wapack 60 Backpack:

Only reason I give the Wapack 4 stars is it's a little heavy. The weight doesn't bother me at all though. I love the adjustable length feature. Took me a bit to get it just right but I was able to do it on the fly easily. The weight sits nicely on your hips. I've even had it to the point where it just barely floats on my shoulders. With the pack and everything in it I was at just under 40 lbs on a pretty tough section of the AT and it felt really good for $129. I really put it through its paces on that trip and I think it'll stand the test of time. Left home looking brand new and came home dirty and damp, looking the part of a serious pack. Not a single loose stitch. Great deal! I will be buying more EMS brand products for sure.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Wapack 60 Backpack:

Used this pack this past weekend in the Catskills for just an overnight. Fit everything, including bear canister, and was pretty comfortable to wear over the 15 miles. While it doesn't have a ton of external pockets, I was coming for a back with none so the 2 large pockets worked great. Each one was big enough to hold a fuel bottle, stove and some misc. other stuff. There is also a small compartment under the brain that has a key chain loop. Also, the boreal 20 sleeping bag fits perfectly in the bottom compartment. Only drawback I saw was the venting between your back and the pack isn't great. There are solid and comfortable pads, but no air vents like some of the much more expensive packs (Ospery). If I had to do it again, I would still buy the pack.
