Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

These are OK and the factory defect is hardly noticeable, but I thought I was getting another pair of the Endo pants I have and love. Apparently, my originals are the Endo TREK pants that I wear for x-country skiing and snowshoeing. When I saw the price of the factory seconds, I decided to get a second pair. So disappointed. These are completely different pants, much lighter in weight, somewhere between the weight of the original Trek pants and my (also well-loved) Compass pants, another EMS discontinued item. I can wear my originals without a base layer in moderate winter temps, but I would need an extra layer with the new ones. However, the new ones are more snug in the same size 10, so I can not add another layer. The new Endos have 5 zippered pockets, but the flaps over the zippers and the slant over the widest part of the hips are unflattering. Trek has 3 zippered pockets, but they lie beautifully flat. The hip zippers are more vertical, so they are very streamlined. The Trek pants have zippers at the bottoms of the legs; the new ones do not. Trek has a waistband that is partially elasticized at the back; new ones have a regular flat waistband. Both sit approximately just below belly button, just perfect for me as is the 31 inch inseam. I wore my Treks yesterday on a 5-mile snowshoe and wished I had a backup pair. I love everything about the Treks, but this Endo product is probably going back. EMS, please produce more Endo Trek pants and bring back the original Compass hiking pants. I hate to find a product I love only to see it discontinued.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

Overall great hiking/active pant. Good amount of stretch in the fabric lets you move freely. The 31 inch inseam is a little too long for me, so I might have to hem them or risk destroying the cuff in the back. I wish that they had something to adjust the waist, internal drawstring/Velcro tabs, other than using a belt which might get uncomfortable with a pack. Good looking enough that I got away with wearing them to work. Fairly light weight fabric. I'm 5'6" about 140 and got the size 10 which is too big in the waist but fits great over my muscular legs.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

I use these all the time for winter hiking (with a base layer), or hiking in the spring/fall in rainy weather. Comfortable .. love em. I have no problem with the pockets... I am on the short side - so they are a little long for me when I am barefooting around the house. But with hiking boots - no problem!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

I used to love the Endo pants a few years ago, but these are much wider and shorter. They did not fit my relatively narrow figure, but they might work if you need shorter inseam.

Bought these for my wife. She loves them. They are very comfortable on long hikes, or just roaming around town. The flaw in the pocket does not hinder the garment in any way. It is one of those things you have to really look for to even notice.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

I love these pants. As a previous review stated, they do get "larger" after you have worn them a while during the day, but not too bad. I did not mark them down for that as I have a similar pair from another company and they do the same thing, so I understand it is the material.

These would be great for travel. Easy to spot clean.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Women's ENDO Pants, Factory Seconds:

These pants fit very well. I'm 5' 3", 120 lbs. I normally wear a size 4, but ordered up a size so I could wear these over long underwear. They fit very well. These were listed as irregular because of stitching around the pocket. I was not able to detect the problem. These are great for hiking or walking when there is light rain. They keep you dry without the loud rustle of waterproof material. (They wouldn't stay dry in heavy rain.) The pants definitely look like outdoor equipment...I might use them for a very casual use, like running errands. They are very comfortable, nicely stretchy. Normally, I wear stretch polar fleece for most of my winter outdoor activities (snowshoeing, dog walking), but when it is windy, the wind blows through the polar fleece. These pants take the edge off the wind so will work better on windy or drizzly days.
