The Big Agnes Copper Spur UL1 tent is an ultralight, full-featured, three-season backpacking shelter that is truly easy to pack, set up, and live in.

    Features/Benefits:

Comments about BIG AGNES Copper Spur UL1 Tent:

This thing in tiny on my bag compares to the one I replaced, and it weighs practically half as much.
Used on my first campout for the year (I'm a BSA leader and we camp during school year) and we had one rainy day and I had no leaks.
Setup was fairly straight forward, though I'm still getting used to this "single" pole going in all directions. The only difficulty I had was snapping the tabs onto the end of the top cross pole. Getting them back of was even harder when the temp was 34F degrees and my hands cold ... I had to drop the tent and do them last instead of first.
The fly has nothing but a couple pockets at the top and the bottom corner to keep it straight. The ground wasn't perfectly flat and the fly was not centered at one end, and no amount of adjustment of the corner straps helped that. But it still kept the rain out, but made me wonder about high wind.
The vestibule will hold my pack, but not without it being against the fly, and the tent isn't long enough or wide enough to fit it inside at the end.
My only other complaint is the vestibule flap on the fly has to fold toward the tent and the loop to hold it aside is so small the flap has to be tightly wound or wadded to get it strapped aside. Impossible to do with gloves on, so I reverted to tossing it on top of the tent ... until it was wet, then figured that would cause leaks. I'll stitch on a bigger loop myself.
But like I said at first; it is super light and small. But for all that, it was easy to get in and out. I can actually sit up in it to change clothes, and it is wide enough to fit some gear next to you inside. The gear pockets are in great locations, and 2 sizes for easy eyeglasses or headlamp access, etc.

Comments about BIG AGNES Copper Spur UL1 Tent:

I'm 6'2" tall and weight 180 lbs. The Large side entry makes it easy to get in and out. Once inside I could easily sit up and even get on my knees to maneuver around. At night sleeping the inside actually felt roomy with a few inches to spare at both head and feet. The tent is plenty wide at the shoulders and narrows at the foot, but still had room to spare on either side of my air mattress.
