  • BIG AGNES Fly Creek UL2 Tent

Designed and built to be a lightweight substitute for a bivy sack, the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 tent is made for minimalist backpackers who desire a freestanding three-season shelter but don't want to give up valuable pack space.

    Features/Benefits:

    • Rainfly and tent floor are made from silicone-treated nylon ripstop with 1200 mm waterproof polyurethane coating
    • Tent body is made from lightweight polyester mesh and durable nylon ripstop
    • Lightweight DAC aluminum poles with press fit connectors are made using DACís Green Anodizing process, which is safer for the environment than traditional anodizing and significantly reduces waste water by recycling water throughout the rinsing process
    • Set-up is quick and easy: plastic clips attach the tent body to the pole frame and color-coded grommet webbing and buckles ensure everything is properly aligned
    • All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCís)
    • Includes 11 superlight aluminum J stakes (anodized using the same process as the poles)
    • Reflective guyline provides nighttime visibility
    • Vestibule adds an extra 7 sq. ft. of covered space to store your gear
    • Tent interior has three mesh pockets and gear loft loops to fit the Big Agnes Triangle Gear Loft (sold separately)

Comments about BIG AGNES Fly Creek UL2 Tent:

We bought a Copper Spur UL2 and a Fly Creek UL2 last November. Both are excellent tents--extremely easy to set up. They've been on 3 outings so far and have been great. The Copper Spur is larger (room to move around in) than the Fly Creek and can be entered from either side. The Fly Creek is entered from the big end. The Copper Spur is free standing (sans the fly) whereas you have to stake the rear corners of the Fly Creek at a minimum. My son (10 years old) can set either one up in less than 10 minutes. If you use the fly make sure you stake it out to prevent condensation.

Comments about BIG AGNES Fly Creek UL2 Tent:

I ordered this Wed and received it Friday literally just in time to participate in my Boy Scout Troop weekend camping trip. I reviewed some YouTube videos to make sure I knew how to set it up. I ended up setting it up in the rain. I couldn't believe how easy it and quick it was to set up. I could have used 1 or 2 more stakes. It is comfortable for one person, too cramped for two unless they are minimalists. I have a North Face Tadpole 2. It is the same exact style but bigger. It is also 6 lbs. I needed a lightweight tent for an upcoming two week backpacking trip. I found it!
