Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Simmer Down 25° Sleeping Bag:

Mid Sept in NH can go either way temp wise and I was headed out on an AT section hike for 5 days over 8 4000'+ peaks with nights to get in mid 30's, possible sleet and snow, frost and freeze alerts.

Bag is rated as a 25 degree...it was great. In a tent, and in the more open Garfield shelter. Lofty, warm, comfortable, especially for the p rice point. We had one day going over Mt Lafayette in 70 mph winds and horizontal rain...some made it all the way through the pack cover, liner, stuff bag, to the bag...not alot, but you could see it. Still warm, and woke up to 38 degrees...no problems at all. Stuffs down reasonably small for a mid weight duck down bag.

A keeper, and again, for the price it's a great bag. Will not disappoint.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Simmer Down 25° Sleeping Bag:

I've been wanting a down sleeping bag for awhile now, but didn't really want to break the bank on one. This is the perfect solution. I gave it 5 stars but I would change one thing, the stuff sack is way too big - but that shouldn't take away from the actual sleeping bag rating. I will definitely invest in a smaller stuff sack eventually but this will definitely suffice for now. Warm, comfortable and very light.
