Comments about LEKI Cristallo Trekking Poles, 2014:

Just bent (both!) poles on my third pair. Clearly, these are not designed for someone 6'3" and 200 pounds without gear. Three pairs have failed in under 1 year. Time to move on.

Comments about LEKI Cristallo Trekking Poles, 2014:

When they arrived the locks were not properly adjusted. Some were too loose so putting weigh on pole caused it to slide shorter. other too tight so it was very hard to close. After adjust them all with a screw driver, the locks hold but are not too hard to close.
I love the straps, wide and comfortable. And I really like how short they collapse to, so I can fit them into my bag when not in use, and in the summer I think they'll fit in my motorcycle top case.
These will be great for hiking, but I weigh 195lbs so when I tested leaning heavily on them they flexed, so I know they won't hold me and a full pack when backpacking if I were to trip and use them to catch myself. Too bad, because my current backpacking poles are bend from a hard fall on them last summer.

Comments about LEKI Cristallo Trekking Poles, 2014:

Theses trekking poles are nice but lower section of one pole was extremely difficult to extend even with the lock removed. 2 people and a little silicone lube fixed the problem
